What does TermStack do?

TermStack automates B2B payment terms and deposit requirements at checkout using rules you define.

Who is TermStack for?

TermStack is built for Shopify Plus merchants using Shopify B2B (Companies and company locations).

Does TermStack affect DTC checkout?

No. TermStack applies only to B2B checkouts and does not change consumer (DTC) checkout behavior.

Does TermStack support draft orders or admin-created orders?

No. TermStack runs in checkout. Draft and admin-created orders bypass checkout and are not evaluated by TermStack.

How does TermStack decide which rule applies?

Rules are evaluated from top to bottom. The first matching rule is applied.

What conditions are available?

You can build rules using customer tags, company, company location, order total, first order, total orders count, and collection conditions.

What payment terms can I set?

Pay now, Net 7/15/30/45/60/90, Due on fulfillment, Due on fulfillment created, and Due on invoice sent.

What deposit options are available?

Any deposit from 0% to 99%. For full payment at checkout, use Pay now.

Can I test rules before they go live?

Yes. Use the Simulator to test scenarios and verify which rule/outcome will apply before publishing.

Can agencies test TermStack before a merchant store goes live?

Yes. Agencies can fully configure and validate payment-term logic on development stores. A paid subscription is only needed after the store launches.

Do changes apply immediately?

No. Changes in draft do not affect checkout until you publish.

Can I undo a publish?

Yes. TermStack keeps version history so you can roll back to a previous published ruleset.

What happens if no rule matches?

Your configured default behavior is used: either no change or a default outcome.

Will TermStack break checkout?

No. TermStack is designed with fail-safe behavior so checkout can continue normally if rule evaluation cannot run.

Will TermStack slow down checkout?

No. TermStack runs as a Shopify Function and evaluates rules with checkout performance in mind.

Is Shopify Plus required?

Yes. Shopify Plus is required because B2B payment terms are a Plus capability.
